Consumer Quantum-Encrypted Communication Phone QuantumPhone Released: Each Phone Contains a Miniature Quantum Key Generator

Huawei released QuantumPhone on October 10, the world's first consumer smartphone with a built-in quantum encryption module. The device integrates a miniature quantum random number generator chip and a quantum key distribution module, enabling quantum-secure communication channels between two QuantumPhone devices.

The QRNG chip generates true random numbers based on photon quantum tunneling effects, rather than computational results from traditional pseudo-random algorithms. These random numbers generate quantum keys where any eavesdropping attempt disturbs the quantum state and is immediately detected by both communicating parties. Quantum keys are transmitted between devices over dedicated 4G/5G frequency bands.

QuantumPhone runs a Kirin 9100 processor with the quantum module adding approximately 80 milliwatts of power consumption. Priced at 12,999 RMB, it launches first in the Chinese market targeting government officials, corporate executives, and financial industry professionals.
