Meituan Drones Receive Urban Delivery License: Coverage Expands to Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen

Meituan's drone delivery service officially received China's civil aviation authority's urban low-altitude delivery operation license, becoming the first company with this qualification in China.

Meituan announced today that its drone delivery service has officially received the Urban Low-Altitude Delivery Operation License issued by China's Civil Aviation Administration.

Initial coverage cities:

Beijing: Major business districts within Fifth Ring Road
Shanghai: Pudong New Area, Hongqiao Area
Guangzhou: Tianhe District, Panyu District
Shenzhen: Nanshan District, Futian District

Meituan drones have completed over 1 million deliveries cumulatively, and service coverage will expand significantly with this license.
