AI-Driven Phishing Defense System PhishGuard Launches: Real-Time Detection of Deepfake Phishing Attacks

AI-Driven Phishing Defense System PhishGuard Launches: Real-Time Detection of Deepfake Phishing Attacks

CrowdStrike released the PhishGuard AI phishing defense system on November 5. The system specifically targets new types of phishing attacks leveraging AI deepfake technology — including forged CEO voice commands, synthetic video conference footage, and AI-generated personalized phishing emails. The system achieves 98.5% accuracy in detecting deepfake content.

Traditional phishing detection relies on known pattern matching, but AI-generated phishing content is different every time. PhishGuard's AI engine identifies attacks by analyzing communication metadata characteristics (sending time patterns, language style shifts, behavioral anomalies) rather than the content itself. Even when phishing content appears completely normal on the surface, its "behavioral fingerprint" still exposes malicious intent.

Over the past year, business email compromise (BEC) cases using deepfakes have increased by 340%, with average losses of $4.8 million per attack. PhishGuard's enterprise version is priced at $120 per user per year.
