AI Personalized Vaccine Adjuvant Design Platform VaxBoost Launches: Immune Response Intensity Increased Threefold

The VaxBoost platform from GSK and BenevolentAI uses AI to design optimal adjuvant formulations for each vaccine, boosting immune response intensity by an average of threefold, with particularly significant effects in elderly populations.

AI Personalized Vaccine Adjuvant Design Platform VaxBoost Launches: Immune Response Intensity Increased Threefold

The VaxBoost AI vaccine adjuvant design platform, a collaboration between GSK and BenevolentAI, officially launched on July 30. Vaccine adjuvants are key components that enhance immune response, but traditional adjuvant design relies on empirical trial-and-error methods. VaxBoost uses AI to analyze the three-dimensional structure of antigens, the immune characteristics of target populations, and the mechanisms of action of adjuvant molecules, creating optimal adjuvant formulations for each vaccine.

In controlled trials with influenza vaccines, using VaxBoost-designed adjuvant formulations increased antibody titers in people aged 65 and older by 3.1 times compared to traditional adjuvants, raising the protection rate from 40% to 72%. GSK plans to apply VaxBoost to adjuvant optimization across its entire vaccine product line.
