Cancer Early Warning E-Skin Patch CancerStamp Validates in 1,000-Person Cohort: Asymptomatic Cancer Screening via Sweat Metabolites

Biosensor company OncoSens's e-skin patch CancerStamp completes a 1,200-person prospective cohort study, identifying 5 common cancers in asymptomatic stages by analyzing combined patterns of 12 sweat metabolite markers, achieving 78% overall sensitivity and 92% specificity.

Cancer Early Warning E-Skin Patch CancerStamp Validates in 1,000-Person Cohort

Biosensor company OncoSens published results from its 1,200-person prospective cohort study of CancerStamp on August 29. The patch continuously collects 12 metabolite markers from the wearer's sweat, using an AI model to analyze time-series changes in marker concentration patterns to identify 5 common cancers — lung, colorectal, breast, liver, and pancreatic — in asymptomatic stages.

The study enrolled 1,200 volunteers aged 40-65 who wore CancerStamp for 6 months. Results showed 78% overall sensitivity and 92% specificity, with pancreatic cancer achieving the highest sensitivity at 85%. OncoSens plans to submit for FDA approval in 2029.
