AI-Optimized Perovskite Solar Module PerovskAI Goes into Mass Production: Solar Power Costs Drop Another 35%

Oxford PV releases AI-optimized perovskite-silicon tandem solar module PerovskAI with mass production efficiency of 33.5%, reducing utility-scale solar LCOE by another 35%

AI-Optimized Perovskite Solar Module PerovskAI Goes into Mass Production: Solar Power Costs Drop Another 35%

Oxford PV released the AI-optimized perovskite-silicon tandem solar module PerovskAI on November 4. The module achieves mass production efficiency of 33.5%, far exceeding the 22-24% of traditional silicon modules. In utility-scale testing, PerovskAI reduced the levelized cost of energy from $0.025/kWh to $0.016/kWh — a 35% reduction.

PerovskAI's key innovation is AI's precise control of the perovskite layer deposition process. The uniformity of perovskite films directly determines module efficiency and lifespan, and traditional processes have low yields. PerovskAI's AI system monitors film thickness and crystal structure in real time during deposition, dynamically adjusting process parameters to increase yield from 60% to 92%.

PerovskAI's initial production capacity is 2GW annually, with Oxford PV planning to expand to 10GW by 2031. Multiple large solar developers have signed long-term supply agreements.
