In April 2029, Israeli medical AI company PharmaSafe's DrugGuard system is deployed across over 2,000 hospitals worldwide. The system analyzes a patient's complete medication history, genomic data, and real-time vital signs to detect potential drug interactions the moment a physician writes a prescription.

DrugGuard's database contains over 8.5 million drug interaction rules covering known drug-drug, drug-food, and drug-gene interactions. Unlike traditional rule-based prescription review systems, DrugGuard uses graph neural networks to model complex interaction relationships between drugs, capable of discovering novel interactions not yet cataloged in rule databases.

DrugGuard costs $15,000 per hospital monthly, but PharmaSafe is in negotiations with governments to incorporate it as standard in public health systems.
